Thanksgiving is quickly approaching and with it comes one of the busiest shopping days of the year- Black Friday. This year, several national retailers have decided to close on the Friday following Thanksgiving and are encouraging shoppers to “opt outside” instead of cramming into shopping aisles. REI is one such retailer, and the hashtag #optoutside is making its way through social media sites.
