Brief:                The Fredericksburg Chapter of the Native Plant Society of Texas is honored to welcome John R. Thomas, owner and founder of Wildseed Farms, to our January meeting.  Mr. Thomas founded Wildseed Farms in 1983.  He currently has over 1,000 acres of wildflowers under cultivation in Texas; 200 of those at the Fredericksburg location where he also serves over 400,000 visitors every year.  Mr. Thomas pioneered the commercial cultivation and harvesting of wildflowers.  Learn about the history of Wildseed Farms, the growing consumer and corporate demand for wildflowers… and just maybe … a few hints on how to grow a gorgeous field of native wildflowers!
