Spend a summer night under the stars at beautiful Enchanted Rock State Park while learning the foundations of composition and exposure for various types of nighttime photography.

How the class works: We spend the first two hours learning the basics of photography and Bud’s easy to learn foundation of the exposure triangle and how to shoot your camera on full manual! We break for dinner from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m. then spend the next few hours light painting with flashlights and other various types of illumination. From there, we venture onto and around Enchanted Rock for nightscape and star photography. Once the class wraps at 2 a.m., participants can either take off back home or venture back to the classroom pavilion to continue shooting nightscapes or camp at the classroom and grab some sleep. (Sleeping/camping near the pavilion is included in your dues, but no fires are allowed).
Requirements: DSLR camera (or camera capable of long exposure) and tripod.
