Speaker:         Susan Sander

Susan Sander holds a BA in Philosophy and an MA in Environmental Land-Use Planning.  She founded the Riverside Nature Center in Kerrville in 1989 and served as Education Director for 10 years.  She now serves as the Center’s naturalist.  Her most recent study has been the interrelationship between birds and plants.

Sander’s multi-storied experiences include working with the Texas Forest Service on oak wilt and stewardship, serving as a member of the Headwaters Groundwater Conservation District Board, and on numerous committees for the Guadalupe River Trail Projects and the Kerrville Parks & Recreation Advisory Board.

Currently, Sander is the Education Advisor for Bamberger Ranch Preserve.
