Learn about Toward a Regional Plan for the Texas Hill Country, a study conducted by the Hill Country Design Studio in collaboration with the UT School of Architecture and Hill Country Alliance which addresses threats to water resources, scenic beauty and cultural heritage in the face of rapid population growth in the Hill Country region.

09:15 – 10:15     Presentation: Toward a Regional Plan for the Texas Hill Country – Introduction to the plan by some of the University of Texas at Austin Department of Community and Regional Planning graduate students who developed it

10:15 – 10:25     Break

10:25 – 12:00    Presentation: Perspectives on the Hill Country Design Studio from Regional Leadership

12:00 – 1:15       Lunch at the Wimberley Community Center, included with registration

1:15 – 2:30         Panel Discussion: Reactions – Reactions from financial, transportation, development, water supply provider and open space preservation subject-matter experts on the plan and response of the elected officials

2:45 – 4:00        Panel Discussion: What next? – Where do we go from here to begin implementation of the plan? A panel discussion of key players who may be involved in implementation of the plan
