How the Great American Outdoors Act can impact Texas

“I think what we’re seeing is the power of this bipartisan support for investing in our parks at the local, state and national levels,” said Carter Smith, executive director of the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department.

“The criticality of investing in our parks has rarely been as important as it is now, during this time of COVID when people in communities really need outdoor spaces for their physical, emotional and mental health.”
